How to get a refund

You are entitled to a refund. What's next?

Updated over 6 months ago

In this article, we'll look at the steps you need to take to get your refund. If you're looking to learn more about what can cause a refund you can check the following article.

Getting a refund, in two steps

Refund email

If you are entitled to a refund we'll get in contact through the email you used when making your payment. In this email you'll find the reason as to why your refund is happening and a link to proceed with the refund in question. Just click that link and you'll be on your way to the next step.

The refund email is only sent once your original transaction(s) have been confirmed on the blockchain. These times can vary so, in some cases, it may take a little longer to get to you.

Additionally, Money has a set of defined limits per currency and network which means some refunds may be withheld if the amount is too low. You can find more information on these here.

Providing a wallet

After opening that link you'll be taken to the refund center where you'll see the amount you'll be getting and a field for your wallet address. Just input your address and hit continue, making sure to pay attention to the network displayed as the funds will be sent using that network. In the example below that would be the MultiversX network.

If your refund is due to a merchant initiated refund, this screen will vary slightly in the details you see, but to continue, the process is exactly the same.

Transaction on the way

That's really all it takes. We now know to which wallet address the funds should be sent and it's only a matter of time until you have everything on your side!

Transaction complete

Once the transaction is complete, you'll get one last email from us informing you of the refund completion. At this point if you check back on your refund link you'll be able to see that status reflected there as well, as the example below shows.
