Underpayment

What happens when I send less than the amount requested?

Updated over a week ago

Underpayment happens when you transfer an amount lower than what's required to mark the bill as paid. However, this doesn't signify the end of your payment process. You can still click on 'Pay remaining amount' to complete the transaction by transferring the necessary funds. Alternatively, if you prefer to reclaim the funds you've sent, you can click on 'Get a refund.

Important note: xMoney imposes limits per currency and network, resulting in the potential withholding of refunds if the amount falls below a certain threshold. For further details, refer to the following article.

As illustrated in the example below, you'll find a comprehensive breakdown of the funds you've sent, as well as those still pending, accompanied by a list of all detected transactions accessible through the 'Transactions found' dropdown menu located in the top right corner.

Proceeding with your purchase:
After clicking 'Pay remaining amount,' you'll return to the payment page, where you'll find the amount you've already transferred, along with the updated remaining balance. Completing another transfer will ensure you're on track for a successful payment.

Requesting a refund:
After you click ‘Get a refund’ you’ll initiate the refund process. You won’t be able to pay your bill anymore and you’ll get an email with all the information needed to complete this process. If you need it you can find more information on how refunds work.
